In mid-2024, the board had to acknowledge that the objective of continuing to organize a three-day jazz festival was no longer economically viable. The organizational costs are too high in relation to the revenues (admission fees, catering, and subsidies). The board of Jazzclub 14, which works on a voluntary basis to achieve this goal, therefore decided—at the request of the chairperson—to organize the festival one final time in 2025. The website www.jazzaandesjtasie.nl will remain online. Through this website and our YouTube channel, we will continue to share our archives.
In recent years, every effort has been made to grow the event by selling more and more tickets. This approach was ultimately unsuccessful, but it did result in a loyal group of approximately 150 friends of the festival who united through a membership. This core group of visitors and enthusiasts are devoted guests of the event — they purchase tickets early and often attend all three days of the festival to enjoy what is on offer.

In recent years, we have reached out to similar foundations that are passionate about jazz. This has proven to be challenging within the province of Limburg, as our efforts were often met with a lack of interest. However, we have succeeded in establishing a connection with Jazzclub Mönchengladbach, an active club in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany). In mid-September 2025, we will jointly organize our first cross-border jazz festival, which is financially supported by the Euregio.
Jazzclub 14 is increasingly being approached to provide musical and organizational support for various events hosted by municipalities, associations, and companies.
Thanks to our network within the music world, we are able to create a musical program tailored to your needs.
We see potential in this development, as it allows us to continue promoting jazz music and offering musicians a stage.
As of April 4, 2016, Jazzclub 14 is registered as a Public Benefit Organization (ANBI) and also holds the status of a Cultural ANBI.
