Twin Town Jazz

Dear music lovers

From 12 to 14 September 2025, the Twin Town Jazz Festival will take place. Supported by Euregio Rhein-Maas-Nord, an engaging musical program will be presented in the cities of Mönchengladbach and Roermond, featuring German and Dutch jazz bands performing across borders. In both cities, various jazz workshops will also be offered — for guitar, trumpet, saxophone, and vocals — allowing participants to delve deeper into the jazz genre. The Twin Town Jazz Festival is not only a musical highlight, but also a reflection of the vibrant twinning and the strong friendship between our two cities. It demonstrates how art and culture can build bridges, bring people together, and bring European communities to life.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone involved: the artists, organizers, and supporters — and of course to you, the audience, who bring this celebration to life.

Enjoy inspiring concerts, unique encounters, and a jazzy atmosphere on both sides of the border!

Marion & Sobo Band

Pure Virtuosity from Bonn

At the heart of the Marion & Sobo Band are multilingual French-American vocalist Marion Lenfant-Preus and Polish guitarist Alexander Sobocinski, better known as Sobo. They are joined by Stefan Berger on double bass and Frank Brempel on violin, completing the quartet.

“Their music defies stylistic boundaries. While the foundation remains jazz in the tradition of Grappelli and Reinhardt, it is transformed into the here and now with acrobatic solos, improvisations, and surprising arrangements — all infused with a generous dose of French humor, scat singing, and musical richness wrapped in playful lightness.”
